Don’t be fooled. My two macs ARE on the same LAN, yet the video streaming option is not available. First version I purchased had the video, but it was causing a crash on the camera side. Had ongoing support in which they sent 1 beta test. Suprisingly, the new version removed the video support, without notice from TappyTapps… and this version was pushed to the app store. Got a final reply today saying “we tried everything”… wow.

Myself and boyfriend use the baby monitor for our french bulldog, Tupac. He is epileptic and is prone to really bad seizures. We didn’t want to invest in an expensive baby monitor so we figured try this out since the cost was low. Works great, and gives us peace of mind. Great new update too! Now has HD quality video and sound. Thanks baby monitor 3G!

Downloaded the App on iMac, but the App does not apply to your account. You have to purchase the app for each iOS device!!! On the review page of the App., Easy to Use; it states no registration or adjustments needed!!! I am led to believe, i don"t pay for the app on each device, NOT!!!!!! Apple support was very supportive of the issue at hand, immediately refund my money. Thanks!

Your IOS device should be the parent station ( device to be with you ) and your Mac Book lap top or iMac the baby station ( devicde to stay at home. Really, when was the last time you left you phonre at home? Really stupid.

I must say I LOVE this app. With new update I can finally use my macbook as baby station and see whats my baby up to on iPad. Absolutly the best baby monitor! Highly recommend. many thanks to developers.

This app is wonderful but I can’t use it because it eats up ALL of the application memory and my system becomes completely unusable (Late 2013 Macbook Pro retina 15-inch with 8GB of RAM).

thank you for finally making this happen!!! I havent tried it yet (as I just saw the update and read about the new stuff), but I am looking forward to it!!!

Baby Monitor requires you to purchase 2 applications - one for your home monitor and another for your remote (iphone, in my case). Then, after you shell out for two purchases, you discover it is an AUDIO monitor with the capacity to take still picture. Real time, video monitoring - which parents need, is ONLY supported if you are on the SAME WIFI network - that is within the same house. If you want to monitor your baby sitter watching your baby while out of the house, forget this application.

Its incredibly flexible. I use an old iPhone 4 with a cracked screen mounted to the crib, as the baby station. My wife and I can monitor it from anywhere in the world over wifi or cellular, with and iDevice or a Mac. Wow. No rough edges, polished app, just WORKS. I only wish they would have the dark screen that is used in this 2.2.2 OS X app, also for the iOS version. The iOS version has a bright white “sleeping” screen that is disturbing at night.

Great concept and at first I thought it was great. But all this app does is stop feeding video and constantly complains about no network connection which is BS because there’s plenty of network connection in this house and nothing else is failing. The constant dropping of connection has made this app unusable and for $6 I wish someone would get their act together and work out this most annoying issue. “Video seems slow” “Video stopped feeding” “This may be caused by a slow network connection”. These are just a couple of the messages I got while typing this review and trying to keep an eye on my granddaughter while she sleeps. ARRRRGGGHHHH If I could I’d give it no stars. Fix please and make this grandpa happy will ya?! But for now it’s AWFUL!

I have found the application to run as advertised. Why it has a total of 16(!) outgoing connections while the program is running with some destination domains/URLS showing Germany, Canada, and London.

Best idea I’ve seen in a while

Save yourself some money and put your old iPhones to good use. There’s a complementary iOS app that can serve as a monitor. The monitor works across platforms so you can monitor your baby on your Mac while you work.

The App Operates As Advertised. Has 16 Outgoing Connections While It Runs.

The most annoying app ever! And paid $6 besides! Fix it please!

Watch out..an audio monitor with still pictures. not a live monitor for remote operation
